Introducing Year-Round Gifts for Goldies
We are excited to announce that our Gifts for Goldies fundraising appeal, which initially ran during the Christmas season, is now a year-round initiative!
Your contributions will directly impact our residents by funding various resident focus and operational goals that are not covered by traditional funding sources. These goals include enhancing recreational activities, improving facility amenities, and providing additional healthcare services. By supporting our year-round appeal, you are helping us create a nurturing and vibrant environment for our residents, ensuring they receive the best possible care and quality of life. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those who call our facility home.
As the only charitable aged care facility and retirement village in Kerikeri, we now need to rely on the generosity of our community to support the 'extras' that enhance the lives of our residents. We are no different than other charities in New Zealand, where government funding is not keeping up with the real costs of providing the level of care and services that we need to provide. The sale of our independent accommodation options does partially help support our deficits in the care facility, however, it does not allow for the important extras, such as the Village Green path or the sensory garden for our Tui Wing. To continue providing exceptional care and services, we need your ongoing support.
Additionally, we are facing a $10 million dollar upgrade of our care facility in the near future.
