As the only charitable aged care and retirement village in Kerikeri, we rely on your generosity to fund the extras that make life special — from sensory gardens and recreation spaces to sponsoring outings that give our residents a breath of fresh air. Government funding doesn’t stretch far enough. Your donation to the Gifts for Goldies appeal helps us create a vibrant, caring environment where residents feel truly valued.
The Garden Project – NEW Sensory Garden
Help us grow more than a garden – help us grow joy.
Imagine a peaceful garden where residents and their loved ones can reconnect, relax, and feel the warmth of the sun on their skin. The Garden Project will provide a safe, age-friendly, and sensory-rich outdoor space for our residents — but we need your help to bring it to life. With a goal of $60,000, every donation makes a lasting impact.
Our heartfelt thanks to the following supporters: Simon Upperton - Borders Real Estate, Laser Plumbing Gas & Drainage, MindMe, Home Sketch Home, Cornelia.NZ Reiki and Wellness, The Eye Lady, The Marketing Wingman, Residents: Scott Batie, Helen Cross, Clare Morton, Jan Gough, Brian Ward, Roger Larkin and Judy Bell, Michael Aikin, Jan Hudson, Betty Barnwell, Alison Howell, Avril Ogilve, Glennis Steere, Bob Simson, Garth Materson, Liz Hutchinson.

Support the Village Green Garden Path
The Village Green is a cherished space, offering our residents a peaceful retreat to enjoy nature and the outdoors. Surrounded by plants, flowers, and wildlife, it serves as a place for relaxation and socialization.
However, access to this area is currently limited due to a steep entrance, which becomes difficult to navigate, especially after rain, when walkers and wheelchairs often get stuck. Our goal is to create a new, smoother path that will encircle the green, along with an additional entrance to improve accessibility for all.
Providing easier access to the outdoors supports both the mental and physical well-being of our residents.
