Paula Baker has been appointed to the board of Kerikeri Retirement Village Ltd, representing 50 percent shareholder Presbyterian Support Northern (PSN). She replaces former director and Chair David Hansen.
Paula is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and has an MBA (Distinction) from the University of Waikato.
She is an independent Trustee on PSN’s Board of Trustees. She is also Trust Manager of Braemar Charitable Trust, owner of Hamilton’s Braemar Hospital, one of New Zealand’s largest private surgical hospitals. Her previous board roles include National Advisor-Governance at Plunket, Deputy Chair of Hospice Waikato and of the NZ Dietitians Board, Chair of Hamilton Cricket, and board member of disability service providers Enrich+, Community Living Trust and its IT social enterprise subsidiary, Platform Plus Ltd.
Paula currently sits on the boards of Northern Districts Cricket, the Waihikurangi Trust and Hamilton’s Alandale Retirement Village. Other roles include Trustee for the Hamilton Sky City Community Trust, member of the Waikato Community Lotteries distribution committee, and health sector lead on the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s Waikato regional skills leadership group.
Paula joins Kerikeri Retirement Village with a passion for community development and working with organisations to build sustainable, healthy and resilient communities.
Kerikeri Retirement Village Limited is a Charitable Company. It is owned jointly and equally by the Kerikeri Village Community Trust and charitable social services provider PSN. The board of directors comprises a mix of shareholder representatives and independent directors.
