We celebrated a joyful morning at the Spring Fling, held at the heart of our village, on the Village Green. This event was a true reflection of the strong sense of community and pride that exists here, with residents from both the Village and the Care Facility joining in the fun. We are especially grateful to our volunteers, whose efforts made it possible for residents to attend.
The Spring Fling was thoughtfully organised and coordinated by our Head Gardener, Debbie Condron, along with the Potting Shed group who also grew all the vegetable plants that we had for sale. The event included series of light-hearted competitions, including the ‘Wonkiest Vegetable’, best nature inspired poem, games, and delicious refreshments. The morning was filled with laughter and camaraderie, showcasing the deep connection and support within our village community.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we raised $1,400 for our Gift of Comfort appeal, which has now officially closed. This incredible support demonstrates the care and commitment that our community has for one another, helping to enhance the comfort and well-being of our residents. We are proud of what we’ve achieved together and always grateful for the continued strength of our village spirit.
