Scarecrow & Scavenger Hunt

During lockdown, Nancy Davidson kept herself (and a good many others ) entertained by making a Scarecrow with recycled materials. Always keen to lend a hand, our Activities Coordinator Karen Hawtin got involved and the two had lots of laughs trying to connect all the parts.

The project took on a life of it's own which led to using the Scarecrow as part of a Scavenger Hunt.

Jayne Barnett (known to many as JB) donated some hand painted rocks which were hidden around The Close together with other trinkets. Clues were issued and the hunt was on! We're not sure who won, but everyone had a great time and enjoyed the exercise.

Since then the Scarecrow has had several reinventions and appeared as a witch during Halloween and again as Santa during the Christmas Celebrations
