Technology Upgrade

Back on May 1st 2002, when we officially opened the Administration Block, our offices were full of the latest equipment. But after 15 years and significant growth, our phone system is no longer up to the task. This week Royce Clark from Roycom decommissioned our old PABX and replaced it with a new VOIP PABX. VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol and basically means that calls go through a high bandwidth internet line rather than a traditional telephone line resulting in more affordable, superior quality connections. The new system can cope with up to 200 extensions, providing ample allowance for future expansion. Following coaching from Royce and the team, we are enjoying the new capabilities of this amazing technology.
